Jack, 63, achieved an MA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Jesus College, Oxford University and a Hon D.Sc from City University.
JackÂs career in the financial services and banking sectors spans 42 years. He started in 1963 with Phillips & Drew as a gilts desk economist, where he later went on hold senior positions with W. Greenwell & Co, Lloyds Merchant Bank, Henderson Administration, J. P. Morgan Futures and Citifutures Ltd. Jack was a member of the founding body of the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) and was appointed Director of the Board (1982-1998), later being the Deputy Chairman of LIFFE (1992-1995) and Chairman (1995-1998).
